Theatre School

We are very busy in the Stories and More office, working away to make sure that our take over of The Long Overdue Theatre School goes exactly how we want it to. We have even planned the next year already!

This doesn’t mean that any of our other areas for Stories and More will suffer, we will keep that side of the business running as smoothly as it does now and are growing the number of schools and events we visit each week with our interactive storytelling workshops.

But, we are just so excited about our plans for the Theatre School, it is our passion – getting young people performing, devising, creating, and showing what wonderful talents they have!

The school already has such a wonderful base with fantastic children, all so talented, we want to build on this, push it further and get them out there performing! We want to introduce new skills, workshops, put on a full scale show and create opportunities for children, those who want to, to take it further.

In Andover you do have the choice of various theatre schools, but I would love to say that ours is different, it feels different, it has such a positive future ahead and one that we can’t wait to share with the children.

We are, of course, always open for new students, so if your child is interest in performing arts, dreams of being up on stage, wants to sing and dance too then this definitely could be the place for them!

Every Monday and Friday:

Shorties (age 4-6 years) 4pm-5pm
Main School (age 7-16 years) 5-7.30pm

Please do get in touch if you would like to arrange a free trial.

As always, thank you for all the support and please keep sharing the news of Stories and More and now The Long Overdue Theatre School.

**Our BIG News!!**

IMG_6915The Long Overdue Theatre School (TLOTS) is to be acquired by local Theatrical Storytelling Company, Stories and More, which has exciting plans for the Performing Arts academy.

Children and young people aged from 4 to 16 attend TLOTS which offers singing, dancing and drama classes, as well as after-school clubs in the local area. Stefan Pearmain, who has very successfully run TLOTS for the past 5 years, has taken the decision to move onto other business projects and Stories and More is delighted to be taking over with effect from September, to further develop the school and its talented students.

FullSizeRender.jpgTeoni Randall, Artistic Director and co-owner of Stories and More said ‘We are thrilled that we are going to be able to build on Stefan’s great work and further develop TLOTS. I have been teaching at the school for the past 6 years and I am excited to be involved in its continued growth and success as we move forward. Our aim is for TLOTS to be increasingly involved in local community events, showcasing the wonderful talents of the students’

‘The school will run in exactly the same format from September with classes in Dance, Drama and Singing each week’ explained Lillie Collier, co-owner of Stories and More. ‘TLOTS’ aim and strapline is ‘Making the Arts Accessible’ and to that end, we have lots of new ideas including the introduction of Practitioner Workshops. These sessions will be led by a variety of performing arts professionals and will present new ideas and cutting-edge techniques to the students’.

Teoni and Lillie will use their years of expertise in working with children and young people to give TLOTS a fresh new leadership and carry on igniting children’s imaginations in a fun, fast and theatrical way. Retaining The Long Overdue Theatre School name, identity and ethos, they will manage this new venture alongside Stories and More.

Easter Holiday Clubs

Can you believe it, Easter is just around the corner! This year is whizzing by so quickly!

So what do you have planned, nothing? It’s quite daunting isn’t it, 2 weeks to entertain the kids, or find childcare if you need to work! banner3

Thank goodness for Stories and More, I hear you cry (cough that’s your part).

But the fun doesn’t stop there, next week on Monday and Tuesday (10th and 11th) we are running another holiday club in Andover – where we always have such lovely children join us and the shows are always so entertaining!

So what do we have planned? Well, lots actually and your children can be a part of it, just get in touch to reserve your place and click here for more details.
